I haven’t been home for a while now and suddenly, I am here with you. Whenever I think about home, I remember us, I remember you–standing by the river on some nice shady spot, one summer afternoon–an afternoon I’ve longed to have for a while now.
The wind blowing steadily, wisps of your hair dancing with it as you talked to me, as your facial expressions changed from your usual calm self to one that could brighten up anyone’s gloomy day. Your laugh is crisp in the air, hearing it melts away my worries, dissolves my fears.
After a few months of weariness from where I’ve been, I’m glad to have you, my breath of fresh air.
